Engine Block Reboring

When cylinder walls wear beyond the manufacturer's tolerance, the engine loses compression and oil control. Reboring uses a precision boring machine to re-cut the cylinder walls to a larger, specified diameter, restoring the tight clearance required for the piston and rings to function correctly. This extends engine life significantly at a fraction of the cost of a new engine.

Crankshaft Grinding

Crankshaft bearing journals wear over time, developing oval cross-sections and surface roughness that allows bearing clearances to increase beyond specification. Precision grinding restores the journal to a specified undersize diameter with the surface finish required for reliable bearing performance. A reground crankshaft in a rebuilt engine can provide service life comparable to a new unit.

Cylinder Head Skimming

Cylinder heads distort over time due to thermal cycling and overheating events. A distorted head cannot form an adequate seal with the engine block, causing head gasket failure. Skimming — the precision machining of the head face to restore flatness — is a prerequisite for a successful cylinder head rebuild.

Lathe Machining

Lathe turning produces cylindrical components to specified dimensions — shafts, bushings, flanges, sleeves — that would otherwise need to be imported. For custom applications or obsolete components no longer in production, lathe machining is the only viable local solution.
